This page explains what data the e-katib website collects when you use it, why, and what your rights are. You can browse the site and download templates without creating an account.
1. Data we collect
When you view or download a document we record the IP address, browser type and date. When you search we record the search terms and IP address. If you send a suggestion or a message through the Contact page we keep what you wrote, the email address you entered and the IP address. If you turn on notifications we keep the subscription identifier your browser provides. From the IP address we work out the country and approximate region for statistics, using a database held on our own server; the address is not sent to anyone else.
2. Advanced download: your details stay in your browser
The details you type into the “advanced download” form (name, national ID number, address…) are processed only inside your browser to create the PDF or Word file. They are not sent to our servers and we do not store them. The only thing sent is an empty signal that counts the download.
3. Cookies
The site uses cookies it needs to work: a session cookie (which also remembers your chosen language) and a cookie that protects against forged requests. They are not used to track you outside the site. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; some forms may stop working if you do.
4. Analytics and advertising (Google)
We use Google Analytics to see how many visits the site gets and which pages are viewed most. The site may show ads through Google AdSense; in that case Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
5. Why we use this data
To count downloads and visits, to learn which templates people look for so we can add them, to answer messages and suggestions, and to protect the site from automated or abusive use.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. It is shared only with the technical providers needed to run the site (hosting, Google for analytics and advertising) or when the law requires it.
7. Your rights
Under Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, you can ask to see your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. To use these rights, write to contact@e-katib.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the way the site works changes. The text published here is the one that applies.
